Plot Summary:Of the two men one is a doctor and the other is a a manga author. Of the two friends one is rich and the other is poor. They fall for the same woman who works at a fish and aquarium shop. The doctor gives up and the woman and the writer marry. The husband, however, has an affair and maintains a mistress. His wife feels uncared for. The doctor makes a move for his friend's wife.
小鎮醫生穗積與滯銷漫畫家添田是至交好友，兩人同時喜歡上在水族店工作的朝子。穗積選擇退讓來成全添田與朝子，但兩人結婚沒多久，添田就開始搞外遇，甚至還虐待朝子。當穗積發現添田的所作所為，本想搶回朝子，卻反而陷入添田的騙局之中。儘管一再被添田欺騙並挑撥，穗積仍一心想與朝子在一起，然而一次事件卻讓這份純粹的愛轉變為憎恨…
